When you wire two 6v batteries in series you are combining the voltage to get 12v but the amp hours stay the same so you're only getting 225amp hours out of both batteries. I recommend using a 12v battery instead of two 6v batteries to start. Then depending on the what all is drawing power in your RV I would recommend multiple batteries.

That is certainly an odd or rather uncommon issue that you described. The only thing I can really think of would be power back feeding on the trailer battery charge wire. However, this would only really cause an issue if this wire was not ran to the positive terminal on the tow vehicle's battery. So I believe one of a couple things has occurred. I would first check to see where they tied the solar panels controller into. This should have been tied directly into the battery itself. They may have connected it before the battery charge controller so that is causing the 12V power to flow in both directions back to the truck and into the camper.

Since the system was already working and all of sudden is causing issues for you I suspect that you may be pulling too much solar power for your battery bank causing an overcharge error or a separate system, like your alternator is also charging your battery bank and causing a voltage spike which would also cause a flashing error. One way to test this is to cover up your panels and use your battery bank to power something for a bit and see if the voltage drops and the error clears.

I went ahead and investigated this issue, and I discovered that if the controller of the Go Power Solar Panel # 34282610 continuously blinks on and off with all icons, the # 34280503 controller is receiving a battery voltage that is too high (over 15.5 volts). There are a number of things it could be but the first thing to check is how your batteries are connected. Since they are 6V batteries you want them wired in series so that they become a 12V system. Check out the attached photos to see the difference between parallel and series wiring for batteries.

I contacted Lippert and their guidance for testing the Lippert Components Ignition Proof 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Switch w/Harness # LC145236 is to use a voltmeter to verify power is getting to the motor. The first thing you should do is check is to make sure you have the wiring correct and not reversed. The white wire should be grounded and black to 12 volt power. I spoke with the manufacturer, Performance Tools, and was told that some of the LED light functions were coming from the factory reversed but that the 2.5-Watt Solar Battery Charger # PTW2997 would still function as it should.
